About This

• 100% GRASS FED/FINISHED TALLOW: At Hearth and Homestead, we only use carefully, hand-selected cuts of suet (the protective fat around the kidneys that stores nutrients) for our tallow. Then we hand-process and hand-render with our proprietary process to result in a clean, pure tallow with only the faintest buttery aroma. Tallow is rich in vitamins A,D,E,K and B1 as well as stearic and oleic fatty acids and saturated fat.
• DO IT LIKE GRANDMA DID: Tallow--or rendered beef fat--is ancestral skincare. Our ancestors relied almost solely on animal fats to moisturize, protect, and heal their skin. Enjoy our light, meltable, whipped tallow balm as a contemporary nod to the practice of our forefathers.
• RESPONSIBLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS: Other than tallow, we included organic cocoa butter, beeswax, apricot kernel oil, and olive oils--all of the highest quality to ensure a super-moisturizing and protective balm. No junk, no water, no preservatives, no artificial fragrance, no synthetics at all!
• 3 AMAZING VARIETIES: Unscented/Natural, Peppermint, and Lavender-Spearmint varieties. Our essential oils are all organic certified and very gentle, providing a light scent and cooling feeling.
• XL PAPERBOARD TUBES: These balms are double the size of your average lip balm tube, so you get double the product! Also, we only use compostable paperboard tubes, which is an eco-friendly alternative to plastic tubes.
